Local Energy Scotland – Community Heat Development Programme

*NEW* – Event on Tuesday 29th August

Read on below to find out more about the Community Heat Development Programme. If you think this might be for you, there is a free event which you can attend:

Tuesday 29 August 2pm

This session will take place on Zoom. This event is free to attend, but please book your space in advance.

Do you have an idea for a climate-friendly way to heat your community?

Join us to find out more about the Community Heat Development Programme. This programme is funded by the Scottish Government through the Community and Renewable Energy Scheme (CARES) and delivered by us at Local Energy Scotland. The programme aims to learn how communities and groups of householders can work together to make buildings in their communities more environmentally friendly to heat.

The programme won’t pay to install energy efficiency measures or renewable technologies such as heat pumps. Instead, expert advisors work with successful applicants to test their ideas and develop feasible options to change the way buildings are heated. Successful applicants will also receive advice on next steps, including any potential routes for further funding.

At this session you’ll hear from our Local Heat Development Specialist. You’ll have plenty of time to ask questions about eligibility, the types of projects we expect to support, applications that have come in to date, and how to apply.

The session will be held on Zoom. It is free to attend, but you will need to register in advance.

You won’t need to stay for the whole session – you can pop in to find out more and leave once you’ve had your questions answered.

How to book

Book your space by emailing [email protected].

Please write ‘August Community Heat Development Programme’ in the subject line of your email.

We’ll send you out the Zoom link the day before the session. Please remember to check your junk/spam folder if you think you’ve not received the links.
