The programme will also be tailored to your and your community’s interests.
How much does it cost?
The programme is entirely free of cost. In addition to that, thanks to our generous funders we will be able to cover all costs for your attendance to any in-peron events and meetings, including childcare, travel, lunch and a bursary for any extra time!

What topics are covered in the Climate Ambassador Programme?
Climate change 101
Having a basic understanding of the biggest crises of our time can help us find ways to get involved and actively involve our communities. We will learn about climate change with the engaging and interactive toolkit of Climate Fresk.
Engaging your community
Taking community action is one of the keyways to tackling climate change and making the community more resilient. We will learn about why and how to engage the local community, how to run community consultation, and how to run events online and in-person.
Fundraising and fund application
We will demystify the world of financing community projects and learn how to find funding opportunities and complete applications.
Engaging with nature on your doorstep
Engaging with nature is vital for people’s wellbeing. We will spend time in nature, learn about the living creatures we share urban green spaces with, and learn about engaging activities that we can use to share these benefits with the communities.
Communication
Finding the right tools to share your passion with your community will make your job much easier. You will also learn about handling conflict and communicating with people who don’t share your values regarding the environment.
And many more useful topics, depending on what you and the other Climate Ambassadors are interested in!
Please note: priority will be given to those who live in an area characterised by SIMD between 1 and 5.
